He will be the first Brazilian ever to have a residency in the main room of one of the world’s most famous clubs, Hï Ibiza – The Theatre.
The Brazilian superstar also released a short film announcing this significant milestone in his career. Speaking of the residency, Alok said: “I’m so excited to finally announce my debut, headlining residency at no other than Hï Ibiza this Summer! As the first Brazilian to be headlining a main room super club on the island, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate and bring an amazing party for you guys across nine exciting weeks – see you there!“
Alok’s Hï Ibiza sets will not only bring a recognisable sound that has enchanted millions around the world in a perfect club environment but will also include surprises and guest appearances by other superstars, whose names will be announced in a timely manner, according to the prestigious club.
The incomparable DJ Alok is currently one of the most prominent global electronic music scene figures, describing his style as “Brazilian bass” and “dance-pop.“ In previous years, he has produced such hits as “Don’t Cry For Me“ with Jason Derulo, “In My Mind“ with John Legend, “Don’t Say Goodbye“ with Tove Lo and Ilkay Sencan, and “Hear Me Now,“ one of his most beautiful songs.
He has more than 40 million followers on social media, making him the second most-followed DJ in the world, and in 2021, the prestigious DJ Mag named him the fourth-best DJ globally. His remix of the song “Piece Of Your Heart“ was awarded at the 2019 International Dance Music Awards, and he also remixed such hits as “Living In A Ghost Town“ and “Astronaut in the Ocean.“
He is the only Brazilian ever to hit the “Billboard Dance 100“ chart, while Forbes Magazine considers him one of Brazil’s most influential young artists. He had his premiere performance at the Sao Paulo Carnival in 2020, in front of a million people. In February this year, he released his debut two-hour Essential Mix for the famous British BBC Radio 1.
Alok, one of today’s most successful DJs and producers, will perform on the Main Stage of the EXIT Festival, which will take place from 7th to 10th July at the Petrovaradin Fortress.
