The end product is a recognizable, emotional, and compelling signature that leaves a mark on every stage they grace, and that will include the mts Dance Arena at EXIT on Sunday, July 9!
Alessandro and Federico Fognini first crossed paths in 2008 while studying audio engineering in Milan, and soon after, they moved to Berlin, where they began to create music together. As Mind Against, they introduced their first single, “Cagliostro,“ to the world in 2011 on the groundbreaking label Life and Death. Notable EPs followed, starting with “Atlant” and “Avalon.” Three years later, they signed a contract with Deutsche Grammophon and released their first album, “Endless.” This led to key collaborations with the likes of Tale of Us, Somne, Locked Groove, and Aether.
In 2018, the duo returned to the Afterlife record label with a new release, “Days Gone,“ a year after the “Solaris“ EP, again demonstrating why their expertly-produced, emotionally-infused tracks are so cherished. Their most recent release for this label is last year’s EP “Walking Away.“ The title track on this album garnered over three million Spotify streams and reached the top three most downloaded songs on Beatport.
They recently introduced their new music label and platform, HABITAT, describing it as “a world where music transcends boundaries, where art defies limitations, and technology unlocks endless possibilities.” The first single, “Criseide,“ has already won over listeners, and its beat will resonate at the Petrovaradin Fortress as early as next week!
Mind Against have established themselves on the global electronic music map as a highly sought-after duo, performing at leading clubs and the most prominent festivals. DJ Mag classified them among the top 100 alternative DJs in 2018. Their mutual understanding is manifested in the dynamics of their sets, where a refined selection and intricate mixing intertwine to lead the audience on a memorable journey. We are set to experience one such journey on July 9 at the EXIT Festival.
