After the two albums released this year, “Quest For Fire“ and “Don’t Get Too Close,“ a series of stellar collaborations and packed, sold-out shows in London and New York, including a five-hour set at the famous Madison Square Garden, named by world-leading media outlets like Variety, Billboard and EDM as one of the dance music’s most historic moments, Skrillex had the honour of closing this year’s Coachella festival this weekend, and he was joined on the stage by Fred Again.. and Four Tet. These three best friends have so far shown that they can turn even the biggest event into an intimate rave, so at one of the world’s biggest festivals, instead of performing on the main stage, they moved their set to the middle of the audience. Millions of fans watched the spectacular closing, and Skrillex decided to continue his streak of success, announcing two more LPs and stirring up the global music scene last week!
Coachella also featured the headliner of last year’s EXIT Festival Calvin Harris, as well as numerous acts set to conquer the Petrovaradin Fortress this summer from July 6th to 9th, among them the absolute leader of the electronic music scene Eric Prydz, the most sought-after producer/DJ collective Keinemusik, energetic duo Sofi Tukker, rock sensation Viagra Boys, along with Michael Bibi, Vintage Culture, Hot Since 82 and CamelPhat, putting EXIT side by side with one of the world’s biggest festivals.
After the singer Frank Ocean cancelled his performance on the second weekend of Coachella for health-related reasons, the unique honour of closing this year’s edition of the festival went to Skrillex and two of his colleagues and best friends. This extraordinary producer continues to ride his unstoppable wave of success, which will bring him to the EXIT Festival Main Stage on Friday, July 7th.
