The finale of the “EXIT to 2021” program mts Dance Arena’s heroines Nina Kraviz and Amelie Lens which was broadcast from the 14th to the 16th of January perfectly rounded off the EXIT holiday program, which began on the 31st of December. This multi-hour special involving some legendary performances recorded on the Exit’s main stage included unforgettable songs by greats such as The Cure, The Prodigy, Migos, The Chainsmokers, Motorhead, Moby, Faithless, Liam Gallagher, Jason Derulo, Atoms for Peace, Damon Albarn, and many others. The holiday program virtually brought more than 550,000 people from all over the world to the Petrovaradin Fortress, while this number will continue to grow in the forthcoming period. All of these broadcasts will be available on EXIT’s YouTube channel and Facebook page until the festival’s grand two-decade celebration from the 8th to the 11th of July this year.
The first of the three final “EXIT to 2021” broadcasts was the premiere of the great three-hour set by Nina Kraviz at the closing of the mts Dance Arena in 2018. Nina herself was actively involved in promoting this stream, announcing it days earlier, and posting to her social media during the stream itself. Her social media accounts, where more than 3 million fans follow her, showed videos of Nina watching the performance. She even left a beautiful message at the end: “Thank you for watching! Watching you all dance in the sunlight at one of the most beautiful stages in the world made me emotional! Hope to see you on the dancefloor soon”! This unique “throwback” to that unforgettable July morning was also an invitation to another meeting as Nina Kraviz is one of the headliners of the big celebration of the 20th anniversary of the EXIT festival from the 8th to the 11th of July this year.
Amelie Lens’ performance at the mts Dance Arena in 2019 will be remembered not only for her fantastic set but also because this techno diva, inspired by the connection between The Prodigy and EXIT, played the song “Firestarter” at the end, in honor of the band’s late singer, Keith Flint. This track caused euphoria in the audience, and interestingly, it is the last song to be played at the EXIT festival to this day. Amelie will also perform at an EXIT event this year, at the Umag Sea Star Festival in May.
The holiday special ended on Saturday, the 16th of January, with an exciting new form of VR party. In cooperation with the Bootshaus club and the innovative Sansar platform, EXIT delivered a virtual live performance by house duo andhim.
The grand celebration of the 20th anniversary of the EXIT festival will take place from the 8th to the 11th of July 2021 at the Petrovaradin Fortress. Some of the most prominent musical artists in the region and the world have already confirmed their performances.
