Three days and three nights of pure joy, wonderful music and unforgettable moments. This is what Revolution looked like in 2017. The 3rd edition of the festival was bigger than anything we’ve ever seen before, bringing together names like: Rudimental (DJ Set), Dubioza Kolektiv, Delta Heavy, Eluveitie, GBH, Icicle and many more. Over 20.000 people enjoyed this year’s festival, united by music, art and good vibes.
The 3rd edition of Revolution took place from the 1st until the 3rd of June at the Village Museum in Timisoara. For the first time ever, the festival had a non-stop program, bringing public workshops, games, day shows, concerts, after-parties and more. Every day was unique, making the crowd coming back for more.
The first day Revolution brought on it’s many stages such names as Rudimental (DJ Set), Dubioza Kolektiv, Suie Paparude, Bleed Someone Dry or Lee Buridge. The fun continued on Friday with Eluveitie, Icicle, GBH, Dubfire, Infected Rain, Macanache si The Putreds and more.
The last day of the festival did not disappoint, bringing together thousands of people. During the day the workshops kept everyone happy, while at night the crowds went crazy. Main stage named Music Guru offered an excellent selection that satisfied all musical expectations. For those who love rock, Alternosfera brought an amazing show. The night continued with some fantastic electro sounds thanks to LTJ Bukem and K-lu. Delta Heavy took over the stage and it also took over the revolutionary thousands of party-people who chose to dance and live on their spectacular beats.
Timisoara found its new favourite band at Revolution, Maika. The group drove the crowd wild not once, but twice. First they had a delightful appearance on the main stage and the public fell in love with them. Maika, the Serbian-Croat band, came back for a second show at Lunatica. Full of energy, smiles and exceptional Balkan influences in their music, the girls from Maika had the public in the palm of their hands.
The night went on but the good music never stopped. Gaia Trance Zone and Electric Apex kept the ravers dancing until the sunlight. However, at Revolution the mornings are not meant for sleeping but for partying. That’s why the music and the fun kept going thanks to the awesome DJs who rocked the festival’s after party, near the lake.
While it is time to say goodbye to this year’s festival, be prepared for much more! In the following months Timisoara will get to feel the Revolution experience more often with special concerts, parties and many surprises. However, until then, it is time for the next chapter of this beautiful adventure: EXIT Festival 2017.
This summer, pack your bags and spend five beautiful days in Novi Sad, Serbia. This year the festival will take place between 5 and 9 June, at the wonderful Petrovaradin Fortress. There are incredible nights ahead thanks to the implacable line-up selected for this year, which includes: The Killers, Jason Derulo, Liam Gallagher, Paul Kalkbrenner, Rag’n’bone Man, Roisin Murphy, Noisia and many more.
The Revolution never stops!
