The first action will be implemented in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia on November 23 on Fruška Gora, where the planting of the first 13,000 oak trees will begin! This major initiative is part of the EU Natura2000 project and it was started at the previous EXIT festival when over one thousand volunteers with a responsible attitude to the environment applied for this ambitious venture at Petrovaradin Fortress. On Saturday, November 23, they will, with the help of the EXIT team volunteers, EU Delegation to Serbia and member countries, with the presence of the Ministry of Environment, and the support of the Fruška Gora National Park and the Vojvodina Mountain Trekker Movement, participate in the creation of Serbia’s new lungs!
Although most of the volunteers for the upcoming tree planting action on Fruška Gora registered at the previous EXIT festival, there are still about a hundred places left for all those who are willing and eager to participate. They are invited to apply via e-mail, at [email protected] by Sunday, November 17th.
All volunteers will be provided with transportation from Belgrade or Novi Sad, refreshments, food, a souvenir and equipment needed for planting, with a socializing event which will be organized once the work is over, while the luckiest will win tickets for Exit’s 20th anniversary from July 9-12, 2020! The planting event is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, from 9 am to 5 pm. Since the number of remaining places to participate in the event is limited, priority will be given to volunteers who applied first.
Pay nature back – Join us, plant a tree!
