“Thus concludes Epicatallica!” – is the description of one in a series of enthusiastic Instagram posts that covered two joint concerts in Paris and Hamburg. The epic symphonic-metal sensation will land on Gorki List Main Stage of EXIT Universe in just over a month, on July 7!
Over the past two weekends, heavy metal legends and one of today’s most prominent symphonic-metal bands joined forces for two big joint concerts. In the days before and between the performances, but also after the end of the collaborative part of the tour, during which “Epicatallica” performed in Paris and Hamburg, excitement and impressions do not subside, and social networks are filled with photos, videos, and words of gratitude and enthusiasm.
Metallica announced earlier this month on social media that Epica would join them on the big #M72 world tour, while EXIT’s headliners responded on Twitter that they were honored to perform in support of Metallica, that this would be the highlight in the career of any metal band and that they couldn’t wait to join the tour.
Epica achieved international acclaim with its LP releases “Requiem for the Indifferent“ (2012) and “The Quantum Enigma“ (2014) and placed on the American Billboard 200 top list. They also have the prestigious Music Export Awards award, presented to them in 2015 as the most successful internationally recognized Dutch band, while the album “The Holographic Principle“ from 2016 was ranked tenth on the Loudersound top list of the best symphonic-metal LP releases.
From July 6 to 9, with the support of Gorki List, EXIT Universe will welcome the headliners of the world’s most sought-after tour, The Prodigy, rap gods Wu-Tang Clan, Grammy record holder Skrillex, as well as Eric Prydz, Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens, Indira Paganotto, Alesso, Viagra Boys, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Claptone, Keinemusik, Michael Bibi, Hot Since 82, CamelPhat, Ben Böhmer live, Agents Of Time live, Mind Against, Chase & Status, Sofi Tukker, LF System, Mahmut Orhan, Burak Yeter, Layla Benitez, Gioli & Assia live, Marko Nastić, Tijana T, Space Motion, Coeus, Kristijan Molnar, Human Rias, Mene, Ben UFO, Avalon Emerson, Carlita, Desiree, Shimza, Cici, Patrick Mason, Partiboi69, Koboyo, Raven, X-Coast, Ignite, Wolfbrigade, Midnight, Cockney Rejects, Exciter, Massacre, The Toasters, Dry Cleaning, Rudeboy, Bojana Vunturišević, Atheist Rap, Pero Defformero, Porto Morto, and many others.
