The first location to be featured in the series is the Bač Fortress, a beautiful medieval fortress, and the filming location of the special programme “Mirna Bačka” (Peace in Bačka). The show features esteemed musicians from the region, including Lajko Felix, Marko Louis, Mile Kekin, and Rambo Amadeus, while the host of the special programme is Bojan Ivković, musician, percussionist, TV host, and actor.
The special programme “Mirna Bačka” (Peace in Bačka) which will be broadcast on the International Day of Peace and the Day of European Cooperation, via the official Facebook and YouTube pages of the EXIT Foundation and EXIT Festival, music stars, numerous regional media partners, and the web platform incredibledestinations.events, through authentic and original performances of musical guests, on one of the most valuable monuments of medieval architecture in Vojvodina, as well as conversations with the host, is an integral part of the Incredible Destination Events project. In addition to the Bač Fortress, the show will focus on other sights in Bač and its surrounding area, as well as the topic of joint promotion of peace in the region, which has been a part of EXIT’s activism for over 20 years.
“EXIT has been connecting millions of young people from the region with their peers from Europe and the entire world for more than two decades, thus sending the most beautiful images of peace and unity from our area. We sincerely believe in the shared vision of the future of Southeast Europe as one of the most critical global regions when it comes to creative industries, cultural and youth tourism. The rich cultural heritage we have in this area gives us a fantastic basis for realizing that vision, and we see this project as another step in the right direction,” said Ivan Petrović, President of the Board of Directors of the EXIT Foundation.
Bojan Ivković, the host of the special programme “Mirna Bačka” (Peace in Bačka), shared his impressions from the filming: “It is our great pleasure to have had the opportunity to do something in this area that had so many stories to tell that, today, few people know about. Future generations will be able to enjoy these stories, hopefully, popularized through our vision of this place, and be intrigued to visit the Bač Fortress.“ He added, „It is remarkable that this beautiful space inspires every artist who has been on our show. Even this time, Bač inspired each of us, and the music that came out of this gathering is something completely authentic, unique and original, and premiered in this format.”
Incredible Destinations Events is a partnership project of the EXIT Foundation and the National Heritage Park in Opustaser (ONTE), Hungary, and is realized with the support of the Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary-Serbia, while the programme “Mirna Bačka” (Peace in Bačka) also received the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.
