Launched in 2021, this project aims to promote the cultural and tourist values of Serbia and Hungary through a series of music and cultural events, with the support of the Interreg-IPA Hungary-Serbia Cross-border Cooperation Programme.
Over the past few years, the Incredible Destination Events project has successfully implemented several key activities. Among them, the special TV show “Mirna Bačka” (Peace in Bačka) stands out, which was filmed at the historic Bačka Fortress, one of the most important monuments of medieval architecture in Vojvodina. This special show, broadcast through social networks and national media, included authentic performances by music stars such as Lajko Felix, Mark Louis, Mile Kekin and Rambo Amadeus, and through it the historical heritage of Bac and its surroundings was presented in a special manner. In this way, EXIT Foundation emphasized the importance of cultural promotion and promotion of peace, which is the mission that EXIT Festival has been nurturing for more than 20 years.
The cultural and tourist tour, which took place from 13 to 19 June 2022, was another important segment of the project. During that week, young people from Serbia and Hungary visited key tourist attractions in Serbia, such as Novi Sad, Sremski Karlovci, Petrovaradin, Bac, Sombor and Subotica, as well as in Hungary, including Szeged and the National Heritage Park in Ópusztaszer. The central event of the tour was the SunSet Picnic music festival, held on 18 June 2022, where the main stars were internationally acclaimed producers ATB and Topic. The event attracted more than 2,400 visitors, and footage of the performance premiered on International Youth Day, 12 August.
EXIT Foundation has also shown its commitment to the use of digital technologies to promote cultural heritage, so a 3D tour of the Petrovaradin Fortress was created, as part of the Contemporary and Traditional Cultural and Tourist Route (CULHUSRBTOUR) project.
For 2025, Incredible Destination Events is planning a new phase of development, with a special focus on Novi Sad as the focal point of future activities. New cultural and artistic initiatives are planned that will contribute to international cooperation, enrich the cultural scene, and provide unforgettable experiences by connecting communities. Although the details of these initiatives have not yet been fully revealed, we can safely say that the upcoming projects will leave a lasting impression on the regional cultural scene.
EXIT Foundation will continue to provide up-to-date information on all future activities through its official channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, as well as through its official website.
