Besides the renowned EXIT Festival, which has consistently attracted over 200,000 attendees for two consecutive years, and Belgrade’s No Sleep, popular regional festivals like Sea Star, Sea Dance, and Ada Divine Awakening were part of the lineup. EXIT expanded its footprint to the United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Hungary, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and Slovenia, drawing visitors from over 120 countries worldwide!
With 13 festivals and 37 diverse music events in 2022 and 2023, EXIT continues to uphold its reputation as one of the world’s leading independent festival organizations, bringing in the most prominent global music stars. This year’s highlights included an epic edition of EXIT Festival, featuring legendary UK band The Prodigy, the greatest rap group of all time, Wu-Tang Clan, and memorable performances by Skrillex, Alesso, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Eric Prydz, Nina Kraviz, Indira Paganotto, Epica, Viagra Boys, Sofi Tukker, and hundreds of other artists.
The festival season kicked off with the fifth anniversary of Sea Star in Umag, headlined by The Prodigy, Robin Schulz, Indira Paganotto, Mahmut Orhan, and more, celebrated by 42,000 fans. The special edition of Sea Dance in Exile was held on the Croatian island of Krk, featuring global superstars and hitmakers like Alok, Willy William, and Fedde Le Grand. Ada Divine Awakening, a festival of consciousness and intimacy, offered a unique retreat at the magical Ada Bojana as the end of summer approached.
EXIT Dance Arena Belgrade Takeover event series was marked by spectacular performances from Paul Kalkbrenner at a packed Belgrade Arena as well as the fan-favorite artist Hot Since 82. This series culminated in EXIT Belgrade Takeover weekend in November, which included Boris Brejcha “In Concert Show,” a massive No Sleep party with leading electronic duo ARTBAT and Adana Twins, and one of this year’s three New Moon Ecstatic Cacao events. EXIT also organized a concert in Belgrade featuring Australian artist Dub FX and continued its collaboration with the TMRW conference, hosting the “Life is Live” panel there.
One of the highlights of the year was EXIT’s fifth annual party during the Amsterdam Dance Event, headlined by Bonobo and Cassian at the magnificent Faralda Crane. EXIT Echosystem showcase also made an impression, featuring performances by Lanna, Human Rias b2b Arodes, iLee, and Ece Ekren. This year, EXIT brought its Get EXITed concept to Strumica for the second time, featuring John Newman, Burak Yeter, Konstrakta, Van Gogh, and others. 2023 was also marked by EXIT & RITUALS party in Munich, Flower Power in Herceg Novi, EXIT x IQOS party at the Mavrovo ski resort in North Macedonia, and a series of EXITVERSE @ Coke Studio events in cities across Serbia and North Macedonia.
First 24 Acts Revealed for EXIT 2024
Leading the lineup for EXIT 2024 are pop-rap icons Black Eyed Peas, the driving force behind Rage Against the Machine, Tom Morello, and global trap icon Gucci Mane. The legendary Carl Cox, a symbol of the DJ profession for many, will grace mts Dance Arena, joined by Bonobo, Berlin’s DJ star and producer KlangKuenstler, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Barry Can’t Swim, Franky Wah, and Mene. The main Tesla Universe Stage also welcomes Kenya Grace, Iniko, Rudimental, John Newman, The Exploited, Dub FX, Willy William, Ian Asher, Steve Angello, and Joker Out. The first couple of names for Visa Fusion Stage have also been revealed: they are the Greek band Villagers of Ioannina City and Czech synth-pop band Lakeside X. For fans of a heavier sound, Explosive Stage will feature the Swiss thrash metal band Coroner and Nemesis!
The next edition of EXIT Festival, carrying the EXIT Starseeds theme under the slogan “Awakening Our Superpowers Together,” is set to take place from July 10 to 14, 2024, at the Petrovaradin Fortress. A special Starseeds Takeover performance on the Tesla Universe Stage is reserved for day zero. Tickets are available here.
