At today’s media event, the EXIT Foundation and the Tourism Organization of Serbia signed a protocol to collaborate in increasing the number of international tourists, particularly young people. This agreement spans from 2024 to 2027, with a particular focus on celebrating EXIT’s 25th anniversary next year and the Expo 2027 event in Belgrade.
During the signing ceremony, EXIT also unveiled the lineup for Day 0 of the festival! On Wednesday, July 10, the Main Stage will feature Eurovision audience favorite Baby Lasagna, one of this generation’s most prominent artists, Iniko, and the famous DJ Burak Yeter performing with one of the world’s most esteemed singers, Dimash Qudaibergen. Joining them will be Australian producer Alison Wonderland and Serbia’s representative at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, Teya Dora. The Main Stage at Petrovaradin Fortress will be renamed Tesla Universe in honor of one of humanity’s greatest inventors, Nikola Tesla. To celebrate this, the opening ceremony of EXIT Starseeds Odyssey will include a special multimedia performance, “Lords of Lightning.”
At the press conference, the director of the Tourism Organization of Serbia, Marija Labović, emphasized the importance of the partnership between EXIT and this organization: “We are thrilled to further cement our long-standing cooperation with the EXIT Foundation through this Memorandum of Understanding and Collaboration. We are on a mission to establish Serbia as a premier tourist destination, and we are making great strides. This partnership is particularly timely as we prepare for Expo 2027, which has the theme ‘Play for Humanity — Sports and Music for All,’ aligning perfectly with EXIT’s mission.”
“EXIT has already introduced the magic of our country to hundreds of thousands of foreign tourists, bringing €250 million to the Serbian tourism industry. We are confident that we will surpass these outstanding results through closer collaboration and synergy with the Tourism Organization of Serbia. Additionally, we are proud to honor Nikola Tesla, our nation’s and the world’s greatest genius, in such a grand manner this year,” said Dušan Kovačević, founder and director of the EXIT Festival.
The Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS) and the EXIT Foundation are joining forces to enhance tourism and promote Serbia as an attractive destination for young people. The goals of this partnership include global promotion of Serbia, fostering tourism development through events like EXPO 2027 and the EXIT Festival, and advancing youth tourism. The three-year Memorandum was signed in a spirit of partnership and mutual trust, aiming to contribute to the prosperity of Serbia’s tourism industry.
On Day 0 of the EXIT Festival, the Petrovaradin Fortress will resonate with one of the biggest hits of 2023, “Jericho,“ by leading new-gen artist and unique Starseed – INIKO! As а versatile singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Iniko has made their mark with hit singles like “Caught a Body,“ “Motion,“ the latest “Armor,” and the previously released “The King’s Affirmation,“ which went viral in just one day. Their growing fan base includes nearly seven million followers on Instagram and TikTok alone!
Also taking the Tesla Universe Main Stage is Burak Yeter, whose songs have amassed nearly a billion streams on YouTube! These songs include “Happy,“ “Tuesday“ – a global hit that made it to the list of the most Shazamed songs in 2017 – and the mega-popular remix “My Life Is Going On.“ Burak has earned international praise and recognition in the music industry for the past decade, securing a spot on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list! We still remember how he got tens of thousands of people dancing in front of EXIT’s Main Stage last year, and this July, he’s coming back with a powerful ally!
Joining him as a special guest is Dimash Qudaibergen, known as The 6 Octaves Man due to his incredible vocal range, but also for his ability to sing in thirteen different languages, including Serbian! His debut album achieved platinum status in just 37 seconds, his YouTube channel has amassed almost half a billion streams, and his astonishing performances of “Greshnaya strast,” “Stranger,” and “Ave Maria” at New Wave have been viewed 70 million times!
Tesla Day on July 10 is further electrified by Australian producer, DJ, and singer-songwriter Alison Wonderland with her project Whyte Fang, which masterfully draws listeners and audiences deeper into her inner world. Known for hits like “High,” “U Don’t Know,” “I Want U,” “Church,” and “Anything,” she introduces a darker, more experimental musical expression through her new alter ego, featuring tracks such as “Deep End,” “333,” and “Scream,” accompanied by powerful visuals and animations, creating a comprehensive and authentic audio-visual experience.
Day 0 of the EXIT Festival will also feature the recently announced, uncompromising favorite of European and global Eurovision audiences, Baby Lasagna! In addition to the megahit “Rim Tim Tagi Dim,” which reached the top 5 of Spotify‘s Global Viral 50 chart and over 4 million views on YouTube, Baby Lasagna has two more tracks, “Don’t Hate Yourself, But Don’t Love Yourself Too Much“ and “IG BOI,“ which will feature on his debut album “Demons & Mosquitos.“ Before stepping onto EXIT’s Main Stage, Baby Lasagna will headline the Sea Star Festival in his hometown of Umag.
Also coming straight from the grand Eurovision stage is Serbia’s representative, Teya Dora, the creator of the powerful ballad “Ramonda”! As a singer-songwriter, pianist, composer, and producer, she became an internet sensation with her song “Džanum,” which has 84 million streams on YouTube, features in two million videos on Instagram and TikTok, and reached fourth place on Spotify’s global viral songs chart! She has earned a diamond record in Turkey, a platinum record in India, and numerous gold records across Europe. With her powerful voice and musical versatility, she captures the hearts of audiences across Europe and beyond.
The next edition of the EXIT Festival, themed EXIT Starseeds and with the slogan “Awakening Our Superpowers Together,” will be held from July 11 to 14, 2024, at the Petrovaradin Fortress. Day 0, July 10, is reserved for a special lineup on the Tesla Universe Stage.
