Summer after summer, countless legendary nights and mornings added their energetic contributions to constructing a place that has become much more than a stage. Today, Dance Arena is a crossroads of the entire scene, a magnificent temple of electronic music. The famous trench at the Petrovaradin Fortress will shine with a special kind of energy from the 6th to the 9th of July in one of its strongest editions yet, led by the absolute #1 act on the electronic music scene, Eric Prydz, whose show has been eagerly anticipated by the audience at EXIT and in Serbia for a decade!
He headlines the mega-powerful line-up that will take over Dance Arena, comprising the biggest global electronic music stars Amelie Lens, Indira Paganotto, Nina Kraviz, Keinemusik, Michael Bibi, Hot Since 82, CamelPhat, Mind Against, Agents Of Time live, Gioli & Assia live, Ben Böhmer live, Vintage Culture, Layla Benitez, and leading local performers, including Marko Nastić, who is celebrating 25 years on the scene this year, as well as Tijana T, Space Motion, Coeus, and Kristijan Molnar. A fresh batch of acts also arrives on the nearby sister stage NSNS, including artists such as Ben UFO, Avalon Emerson, Patrick Mason, Carlita, Shimza, Desiree, Partiboi 69, X-Coast, and Cici.
The unique thing about this year’s festival is not only the super-strong line-up but also EXIT’s special vision for the opening and closing of the festival. Not only will the first day of mts Dance Arena be all female, with a line-up consisting of Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens, Indira Paganotto, Tijana T, and MIJU, but it will feature probably the strongest techno programme that can be assembled in one place today. The Arena’s closing set this summer will, with great excitement, be left to today’s most sought-after house collective – Keinemusik, who will perform at the official after-party after the closing of the official programme, all together for at least six hours! “We will stay until Tuesday“, stated one of the comments on social media within an online campaign asking for these grandmasters to close the Arena.
A fantastic wave of new artists will close this year’s electronic music programme at EXIT, joining the many acts whose arrival in Novi Sad has already been confirmed, such as The Prodigy, Wu-Tang Clan, Skrillex, Alesso, Viagra Boys, Chase & Status, Claptone, SOFI TUKKER, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, LF System, and many others. One-day ticket sales start on 15th March at noon! The offer will include a limited contingent of tickets at the price of 39 EUR + b/f for each day.
On the first day of EXIT 2023, mts Dance Arena will be characterised by a powerful sound delivered by an all-female line-up and probably the strongest techno programme that can be assembled in one place today. The previously announced Indira Paganotto is joined by Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens, Tijana T, and MIJU. Aside from the special Thursday at the Arena, much of the audience on the first night will flock to the Main Stage to see rave masters The Prodigy, as well as drum’n’bass and jungle icons Chase & Status. On Thursday, the 6th of July, NSNS stage will be headlined by Ben UFO and Avalon Emerson and hosted by DJ Brka, Runy, and Rade Badjin.
On Friday, the 7th of July, the one and only Eric Prydz, a progressive house maestro the local audience has awaited for an entire decade, will arrive at the Fortress! He is lauded by all generations — those who remember the release of such hits as “ “Proper Education,“ and “Pjanoo,“ those who listened through the album “Opus“ countless times, as well as the youngest fans, who recognise Prydz by his surreal HOLO shows, some of the most production-intensive events of our time. This is precisely why Eric Prydz is the absolute #1 act on the entire electronic music scene today. On the same night, CamelPhat will have his premiere performance at mts Dance Arena, along with internationally recognised representatives of the local scene Space Motion, Coeus, and Kristijan Molnar, while Cosmic G will stand behind the DJ counter at mts Dance Arena for the first time. On Friday, the festival’s Main Stage will be ruled by the great Skrillex, while the NSNS stage will host Carlita, Shimza, and another musician whose style cannot be classified into a single genre, Desiree. Well-known local faces – Luton b2b Šćepine Vragolije, Danilo Kas, and Sergej Krstić – will contribute to the dancing mood on Friday.
Saturday will be headlined by the face of tech house – Hot Since 82, who will also perform at the big EXIT Dance Arena Belgrade Takeover event on 25th March in the Main Hangar of the Port of Belgrade. Along with him, the programme will feature Michael Bibi, who was named Best Tech House DJ at the 2019 DJ Awards, the Brazilian superstar Vintage Culture, female indie-techno-house duo Gioli & Assia, known for their live performances combining electronic music with live instruments and vocals, American rising star Layla Benitez, as well as young Belgrade producer and DJ Mene. Dance Arena’s diverse music selection will spill over to the Main Stage, where we will see house master Claptone and a live show from the jungle pop duo SOFI TUKKER. Saturday at NSNS brings two highly authentic performers, who will have both separate sets and a b2b performance. One is Partiboi69, inspired by ghetto house, Miami bass and Detroit techno, and the other is the acclaimed artist with ties to the region, X-Coast. On the same day, NSNS stage will host Cici, an Irish producer and DJ who describes herself as an artistic soul with a rebellious spirit, and the talented Maria Karan and Jovana Takač.
On Sunday, 9th July, EXIT brings an exceptional finish. It is prepared by Berlin-based producer and live performer Ben Böhmer, then Agents Of Time, the Italian duo synonymous with melodic techno representing the well-respected publishing house Afterlife, duo Mind Against, who combine techno and house to create an innovative, melodic, minimalist, cinematic sound, a veteran of the regional scene with a successful international career spanning 25 years, Marko Nastić, and a well-known local artist, Goran Starčević. For the very end of this year’s EXIT, Keinemusik is preparing an epic finale. This exceptional collective is among today’s most sought-after electronic music acts, which they confirmed with an outstanding performance at the Burning Man festival. Now they are presented with a great honour – the closing set at EXIT’s temple of electronic music. The last day at NSNS stage will be marked by the sound and appearance of Patrick Mason, a Berliner who conquered and delighted the clubbing world with his energetic performances, as well as a back-to-back set by Koboyo and Raven, while Katalina b2b Muhi and Asarri will start the day off.
One of EXIT’s longest-running stages, the famous Urban Bug presents a line-up consisting of Novak, Layzie, Slobodan Jevremović, Carlo, Paragon b2b Impedance, Mark Panic, Mancha, Stiv, Wocky, Rudhaman, Harry Quarter, Milanko Trifunčević, Svemirski Mjau, Runy, Deeman, Migazz, Vanović b2b NEZOOB, The + b2b Mina Poznanović, Dakman b2b Dakissa, Pao Pausto, RanchaTek b2b D.R.N.D.Y, Lanna, Zagi b2b Dimic, Doo b2b Cosmic G, Antrax, Miloš Vujović, Rade Badjin b2b Poliformat, Luka Jukić, Hobin Rude, STAMINA b2b Teodora Jarić, Nemansky b2b Theanilo, and TeachR b2b WortexX.
