He emphasized that his performance at EXIT was the best concert he had ever had, and he did something memorable – he took a photo with the audience for the first time, which he hadn’t done at any other performance before.
Yesterday, EXIT officially began! It was opened in the afternoon by a man who pushed the limits of what was possible, the famous Wim Hof. Alongside him, global stars Burak Yeter feat. Dimash Qudaibergen, Iniko, and Whyte Fang performed, as did local favorites Teya Dora, Keni Nije Mrtav, and Luke Black.
Rivers of people flowed in on Wednesday, July 10, for Day 0 and the EXIT Festival opening. Despite the intense heat, they enjoyed themselves and created an atmosphere that will be remembered for days, weeks, and months to come. An atmosphere that even the biggest star of this year’s Eurovision, Croatian representative, and audience favorite Baby Lasagna won’t forget.
Shortly after midnight, he took to the Tesla Universe stage and instantly surrendered to the superpower that carried both him and the audience through the night. The young singer from Umag was visibly fascinated by the fact that he was performing at EXIT, and not just any stage, but the Main Stage at the festival’s opening.
“This is the biggest stage I’ve ever performed on and the largest crowd,” he commented between songs, which thrilled the audience. He performed a song he plans to release at a later date, but a wave of energy was triggered by the well-known and recognizable “Rim Tim Tagi Dim!”
He brought incredible energy that sparked continuous screams, jumping, and a storm of emotions from the audience. The fact that fans greeted him in impeccable rhythm, even knowing his unreleased songs, speaks volumes about how big of a star he has become in a short time.
It was difficult for him to leave the stage and the crowd that welcomed him with ovations, as evidenced by the fact that he continued singing his Eurovision song “a cappella” with the audience. He then did something he said he had never done before.
“Thank you so much! Our best concert so far. Most challenges, but the best audience. Love you all. Can we take a photo? This is the first time we’re doing this; wee never taken a photo at a concert, but oh my God,” Baby Lasagna said, and then, posing for the photo with fans, he exclaimed, “Kneel before EXIT.”
Until July 14, the stages within the Petrovaradin Fortress will host the biggest names in the global music scene, offering a variety of musical genres for every musical taste. Carl Cox, Rage Against The Machine co-founder Tom Morello, Black Eyed Peas, Gucci Mane, Black Coffee, Bonobo DJ set, Oliver Tree, Artbat, John Newman Hybrid Set, Cavalera, Ofenbach, Steve Angello and many more.
