EXIT fans who have already bought their festival ticket for this year’s edition, as well as those who do so by May 31, will have the opportunity to buy a regular ticket for this show at a discount of 300 RSD. Tickets will be available on EXIT’s website, as well as at Gigs Tix outlets and online.
This is the third Dance Arena Belgrade Takeover event. The first party, held in March in Main Hangar, was headlined by Hot Since 82, who made around 5,000 people dance, while on May 12, Štark Arena hosted an event the likes of which have not been seen in Belgrade for quite some time. Paul Kalkbrenner performed in front of almost 10,000 people and turned Belgrade Arena into a techno venue with his timeless hits, while from July 6 to July 9, artists such as Eric Prydz, Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens, Indira Paganotto, Keinemusik, Hot Since 82, Michael Bibi and CamelPhat will further cement the status of Dance Arena as a temple of the most diverse genres of electronic music.
Boris Brejcha has made a significant contribution to the music program of mts Dance Arena with his performances so far. He stated in a previous interview that he “always enjoys performing at EXIT, especially at dawn.” For years, Brejcha has been among the most popular electronic music producers, both worldwide and in the region. Thanks to his unique sound and incredible energy, tickets to his performances are definitely among those that sell out the quickest, as demonstrated before his show in Belgrade last year, jointly organized by EXIT and Blender and attended by over 5,000 fans.
Over time, Boris Brejcha has developed his own style – “high tech minimal” techno – as a separate genre, sometimes referred to as the “intelligent music of tomorrow.” Other performers accepted this genre while he perfected it. According to his calculations, he has released over 40 songs so far. The most recent EP, “Level One, “ was released a month ago and is inspired by space. The publishing house Fckng Serious has announced many musical surprises this year concerning Brejcha’s work, which means he is coming to Belgrade with new music! As he himself said in an interview with EXIT, fans always hear something different at his sets because his sound changes from year to year.
Inspired by his first gig in Brazil, he always performs with a “joker” mask, which has become his trademark. Towards the end of 2021, he released his tenth studio album, “Never Stop Dancing,” ranked among the top 50 albums on last year’s DJ Mag list and consisting of 12 tracks dominated by techno and high-tech minimal. This album is followed by this year’s releases “Up Down Jumper,” “Club Vibes Part 01,” “I Want You,” “Club Vibes Part 02,” as well as a remix of Bodzin’s track “Astronautin.”
Deniz Bul is a talented producer and DJ whose mission has been to spread techno throughout the world since the beginning of his career. Although he tried his hand at different musical genres, at the age of 20, he completely turned to electronic music production, organizing parties and performances in local clubs, when he met Brejcha. Deniz then developed his own musical style, joining the Fckng Serious label at the very beginning. Some of the releases that helped position him on the global stage include the remix of Brejha’s release “Moondancer,“ which he co-produced with Lea Naomi, as well as singles “Vibin,“ “Limitless,“ “Third Dimension,“ and “Fata Morgana.“ His distinctive sound is characterized by progressive and original bass lines and melodies complemented by vocals.
One of the newest members of the Fckng Serious family is Moritz Hofbauer, a young musician who stands out for his unique live performances at Fckng Serious showcases worldwide. This multi-talented artist first played cello in a local orchestra and keyboards in a band. A short time later, he became interested in drums and synthesizers, and in the end, he started to combine his piano compositions with electronic beats, and his passion for deep house and melodic techno quickly evolved. As early as 15 years-old, Moritz had his first club booking, while the release of “In Between” for Jeudi Records in 2015 marked a turning point in his career. Numerous releases followed, the latest being “Victoria,“ as well as remixes of songs by Township Rebellion, Ben Böhmer and Nils Hoffmann. He is preparing a live performance for Belgrade.
Ticket sales for the EXIT Dance Arena Belgrade Takeover event with Boris Brejcha will begin on Friday, June 2, at noon. The offer will include regular and VIP tickets, priced at 1,790 and 2,990 RSD, respectively.
