Having previously won the Best Major European Festival title in 2013 and 2017, along with accolades in 2015 for the Sea Dance Festival and in 2019 for No Sleep, EXIT’s latest recognition marks its fifth prestigious European award. This comes amid record-breaking anticipation for the 25th-anniversary edition of the festival, with the first batch of tickets selling out in just nine minutes!
“Last year, EXIT once again led Serbia’s music industry to the global stage. Over 25 years, we’ve organized hundreds of events across dozens of countries, solidifying EXIT as a global movement transforming lives and uniting hearts from Europe to Asia and the Americas. This anniversary is a powerful inspiration to take a quantum leap forward and further cement our reputation as one of the world’s leading festivals,” said Dušan Kovačević, EXIT’s founder and director.
Throughout the year, EXIT brought its festival spirit to eight countries, including Serbia, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, and others in the Balkans, extending to the exotic landscapes of Indonesia. The festival connected diverse cultures and audiences with its unstoppable energy and unforgettable parties. In Serbia alone, the series of music events spanned from the peaks of Kopaonik and the streets of Niš to Novi Sad, where last year’s EXIT Starseeds edition welcomed over 210,000 fans. In Belgrade, the No Sleep festival made history as the city’s fastest-selling party ever.
Through its talent development platform, EXIT Echosystem, the festival continued to support promising young Serbian artists on their journey to global fame. Among its rising stars is Novi Sad DJ and producer Lanna, who achieved over 30 performances, including residencies at top global venues like Hi Ibiza in Spain, Zamna Tulum in Mexico, MDLBeast in Saudi Arabia, and prestigious clubs and events in France, Germany, and the UK, solidifying her position as one of the fastest-rising names in electronic music.
