Juliana Down, the Dubai based international rock band, has been invited to play the Fusion Stage at the Exit Festival in Serbia on 13th July 2012.

Regarded as one of the premier music and arts festivals in Europe, the Exit Festival is a three-day event held in the stunning Petrovaradin Fortress of Novi Sad in Serbia from 12th – 15th July, 2012. Featuring headline performances from Guns N’ Roses, New Order, Plan B and Duran Duran, this year’s edition is expected to be one of the biggest yet.

To date, over two million people in more than 60 countries worldwide have visited the Exit Festival, with CNN, The New York Times and many others proclaiming it among the top ten world festival destinations.

To ensure that all Juliana Down fans have the opportunity to join the party, the band has teamed up with Dubai’s innovative low-cost airline, flydubai, to offer an exclusive travel discount. To save 10% off their flights from Dubai to Belgrade with flydubai, fans can log on to Etickets.to/buy and book their EXIT tickets. They will then receive an exclusive discount code to use on Flydubai.com.

In partnership with Rolling Stone Middle East, Juliana Down has also launched an online competition to win VIP Gold Exit Festival tickets, including camping and return flights to Belgrade for the festival. To participate, fans can enter via Facebook.com/exituaefans and enter their details. One lucky winner and a friend will then get to celebrate with the band in Serbia next month.

“EXIT is one of the great European festivals and we are honoured to be invited. We have a new stage show and some new material so we are really looking forward to taking the Juliana Down sound to Europe this summer. Having opened for Guns N’ Roses before, we know those guys will put on a great show” said Dia Hassan, the band’s lead singer.

The invitation caps a busy 18 months for Juliana Down, who became the first band from the Middle East region to sign to a major record label (Sony Music Middle East) in March 2011. Their current album ‘Empires’ shot to number three in the Virgin sales charts upon its release in April 2011 and after support shows with Guns N’ Roses, Muse and Maroon 5, the band wrote and recorded the official anthem for the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens – Your Time is Now.

They have also recently returned from Los Angeles where they were invited to showcase their material at MUSEXPO 2012 and The Worldwide Radio Summit.
