It all starts with a demo CD with a wrong telephone number on the cover, which fell into the hands of one of the biggest D’n’b names – Ram Records’  Andy C. Impressed by the production quality, Andy got a hold of the real telephone number, and dialed Sub Focus. The result of this phone call was "Down the Drain", and the beginning of Sub Focus’s rise to the top of the D’n’b ladder.

Singles "X Ray" and "Frozen Solid" followed in 2005, with a remix of Dr. Octagon’s "Aliens" and the single "Airplane". Soon after, "Special Place" and "Timewarp" followed. The latter track introduced the upcoming debut album, released in October 2009, which contains 2 tracks that made it to the Top 40 UK Singles chart - "Rock It" and "Follow The Light". The album placed 55^th on the UK Album chart. In April this year, Sub Focus released the first single recorded in cooperation with Alice Gold, "Out Of The Blue",  which will find its place on the upcoming, second studio album.
 
MC ID comes as Sub Focus’s special support. He is a standard addition to live sets of artists such as DJ Friction, Chase and Status, and El Hornet.
