MistaJam is a three-time Sony Academy Award winner and a radio host on BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Radio 1. Promoting the best music of various genres, his intention is to fill the gap between mainstream and genre-oriented audience, thus, his show's slogan - “The Key to the Underground”.

Born in Nottingham, MistaJam grew up listening to his parents’ vinyls, and started DJing when he was only 14 of age. After that, he worked as a DJ for Out Da Ville, a Nottingham-based Hip Hop group, and for a local radio station. With his colleague, Joe Budha he started SureShot Entertainment, a movement which organized UK Takeover and UK Hip Hop events.

MistaJam is also a television actor.
